Sadyr Japarov invites Austrian companies to cooperate in water energy and tourism

AKIPRESS.COM – President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov held talks with Federal President of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen in an expanded format during an official visit to Austria, the President’s Administration reported on November 25.
During the meeting, Sadyr Japarov noted that Kyrgyzstan is interested in attracting investments, advanced experience and technologies from Austria.
“President Sadyr Japarov stressed the strategic importance of the Kambar-Ata HPP-1 construction project, spoke about the construction of 50 small and medium-sized HPPs in the country, some of which have been completed and put into operation. The head of state invited Austrian companies to take part in the implementation of these projects,” the President’s Administration stated.
The head of state added that Kyrgyzstan has significant potential in the field of tourism development, noting that the construction of the largest ski cluster in Central Asia, the Kyrgyz Courchevel, has started. The ski cluster will be capable of receiving up to 850,000 tourists annually.
“The President expressed interest in exchanging experience and best practices in tourism development with Austria,” the Administration stated.
