  1. >Smith wrote that he “stands fully behind” the election subversion charges against Trump despite moving to dismiss the case “without prejudice,” a legal term that means charges could at least theoretically be filed again after Trump’s term ends in 2029. The documents case was previously dismissed without prejudice.

    >”The Constitution requires that this case be dismissed before the defendant is inaugurated,” wrote Smith. “And although the Constitution requires dismissal in this context, consistent with the temporary nature of the immunity afforded a sitting President, **it does not require dismissal with prejudice.”**

  2. Before anyone complains, the reality is the voters fucked this up. Jack Smith left the door open to hold him accountable eventually and placed the full accounting of the evidence on the court record.

  3. People are giving Jack Smith shit about all this but I think we have <2 mos till Trump goes in office and prosecutors don’t wanna use resources for a lost cause, this is probably the best way for his office to wrap this up. For now.

  4. The instant he’s out of the WH there should be a half dozen process servers dropping new complaints on him.

  5. Bold of you to assume he’s not going to pardon himself

  6. What’s stopping Trump directing his DOJ to reopen the case to “finish the investigation/indictment” then at the last moment drop the case against him but this time dismiss WITH PREJUDICE. (i.e. case can’t be reopen in future)

  7. He will never see justice. Even if he is recharged the second he leaves office, he can delay the court proceedings until his last breath. What an absolute sham injustice.

  8. I know the evidence suggests otherwise, but Lucy is definitely going to let me kick the football this time. I can feel it.

  9. Donald Trump stole classified documents. He wasn’t president at the time. He needs to be tried in court.

The Constitution requires him to be treated no better than anyone else.

Follow the Constitution and put him on trial.

  10. Yes leave some life vests on the boat while we sink…just in case.

  11. I hate that the best option we have left is to **delude** ourselves into thinking that *maybe* we’ll get them in the future.

  12. President elect isn’t the same as a sitting president. A policy is not the same as a law or violation of the presidential oath. Trump should not have immunity. These lawmakers have done a horrible injustice to the well-being and democratic functions of the three branches of government. Trump is an enemy to people who voted for him. He has made a laughing stock of his cult. He gained their trust now he will abuse it and profit from the power they gave him. Just like his idle, Hitler.

  13. Yeah. That will happen the day after Mueller goes on camera to read the words of his more ethical prosecutors.

  14. I’m tired of these headlines. When will I get to see something honest, like Jack Smith Punts?

  15. How’s anyone going to charge him from a ~~Concentration~~ Deportation Camp?

  16. The only people you can get mad about are the callus and indifferent fucks who either didn’t vote or voted for Donald Trump.

Being a felon and a rapist is not a disqualifying condition for the presidency but apparently being a woman is.

  17. No future brother. You had your shot and what happened did.

  18. Whatever. This mutha fukka just keeps getting away with the most illegal, egregious shit. Stop writing articles that say Trump will be held accountable. Over it.

  19. I can’t wait for an 95 year old Trump to face justice and get his sentence commuted by the future President because he’s too old. Either way it doesn’t matter Trump proved there are Kings minted in America still.

  20. Fuck outta here with this. Nothing will happen, stop posting this bullshit

  21. There is no option, you fucking moron! That was it! You blew it!

  22. He’s never going to be charged. Stop pretending like there’s hope for justice. Justice failed. Merrick Garland failed. The entire US justice system is a failure.

  23. **Justice delayed is justice denied.**

Let’s be real, this man is old enough that he will never see jail in his lifetime.

  24. This disgrace will likely be dead in 2029. He’s not in good health and nearly 80 years old

  25. I hope someone made backup copies, in triplicate, and stored them in a secret bunker. That evidence at the DOJ is going to disappear over the next 4 years.

  26. Oh, well by all means, let the traitor do more damage first.

  27. Smith took too long and Garland didn’t do shit… Throw in Robert Mueller as well. If Trump leads the US into war or a major recession those three didn’t have to stones to do something when they had the chance.

  28. Unfortunately, with trumps health, he may not live long enough to be prosecuted. Unless laws are changed, he will be buried with full honors. Another slap in the face with the injustice of our country.

  29. Statute of limitations will be over before Trump is out of office, and that is if Trump actually makes it all 4 years which is frankly unlikely.

  30. No, there is no future prosecution. Trump got away with everything and will continue to. That’s the unfortunate reality.

  31. “See kids, sometimes bad people do win in the end. Just keep lying and one day you too can become president.”

What a lesson we are teaching our kids.
