Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen and a state delegation of business leaders returned last week from a trade mission to the Czech Republic and Germany.
During his radio call-in show yesterday (on Monday), Pillen said they met with mainly family-owned business leaders including farmers, ranchers and manufacturers.
The governor said they strengthened already-existing relationships and met new people who are interested in doing business in the state.
“I’m a believer in ‘business makes things happen,’ and that’s the goal of the trade missions,” Pillen said. “We can compete; that’s what’s really important for Nebraskans.
“We can compete with anyone in the world and people want our goods and they want our Nebraska beef and they want a lot of things we do in Nebraska.”
The governor’s monthly call-in show airs on News Talk WJAG. The next one is set for Dec. 16.
