On some level, I understand that PVDA doesn’t want to busy itself with conflicts that have nothing to do with Belgium, like the genocide of the Uyghurs by China. But I find their attitude in the European Parliament to be incomprehensible.
EDIT: Just read their motivation in the article. I can see his point of view, but don’t think it’s a good reason to abstain.
For the Greens/EFA group, Belgian Philippe Lamberts made a plea for energy independence (not just from Russia, he warned), the key to the EU becoming a respected geopolitical player.
In case anyone had any doubts. PVDA is not a Putin supporter.
Seems like they managed to come up with some better arguments compared to last week in our parliament when they opposed the resolution condemning Russia for the attack on Ukrainian soil.
Still, fuck them
Ok, Gerolf.
Speaking of parliament, has the Belgian federal parliament actually voted in favor of sending guns, ammo, fuel, and gear to Ukraine and sending troops to Romania to serve under French command (I wonder how NVA likes that last bit)?

Technically Groen didn’t vote but that’s because [their only MEP was on maternity leave](https://twitter.com/msaraswati/status/1498054674603286531).

Maybe we should also investigate how these parties are funded
Does it have to do something with the fact Communist party is banned in Ukraine?
So… During the next election I have a beef with all current ruling parties, conservatives and these 2 fucks. Who do I fucking vote for….
