However, I at least see a simplistic logic in the tariffs against China, and can maybe stretch to some against Mexico too if you want to blame them for immigration or something.
But Canada? What? Why would we want to attack our northern friends? What possible cause would we have to start a trade war with them? We benefit from good, happy, open trade relationships with Canada.
So dumb.
Because Canada has deep pockets.
