  1. “On Monday, Nov. 25, the actress, 38, appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and compared looking after her daughter Matilda, 19 months, to taking care of a drunk best friend.

“It’s a wild thing,” Cuoco, who shares Matilda with fiancé Tom Pelphrey, said. “I was trying to explain to our couple’s therapist the other day why I’m so tired.”

Speaking to the live audience, she added, “You should all be in couple’s therapy, just FYI.”

“I was explaining to her that taking care of a 19-month-old is like taking care of your drunk best friend every day,” Cuoco joked. “All day, literally all day.”

The Flight Attendant star went on to say, “They’re crying when they don’t get what they want, you’re making sure they make it to the bathroom or you’re cleaning their throw up from whatever.”

“They’re out of their minds and you’re making sure they don’t die all day long,” she continued. “And then they black out and you’re like ready to die and they wake up and they’re like, ‘What’s for breakfast?’ ”“

  2. So she’s as intolerable as always? Stay consistent, Queen!

  3. Having been through it twice, that’s exactly what it’s like.

The end of the day like “omg she *finally* passed out!”

  4. As someone with a 2 year old this resonates. You start your day knowing you will get into an argument about how many blueberries are supposed to be in what specific bowl…with someone that can’t wipe their own ass…an argument you will lose…

  5. Best description of early parenthood I’ve heard in a long time. It also made me chuckle.

  6. She’s absolutely right. Try telling an 8 year old to wear a coat on a cold day when they’re not in the mood. Young humans have absolutely no innate survival skills whatsoever.

  7. Can confirm

Source: my 15 month old and his drunken stumbles and desire to touch/eat everything

  8. And then people wonder why i don’t want to have kids

It’s hard for me to take care about my dog and cats, let alone a child
