The Israeli military claims to have limited goals for its southern Lebanon invasion. But an NBC News investigation found widespread destruction in areas occupied by the IDF.

1. Its pretty obvious that the IDF is destroying civilian infrastructure in the hope that the population does not return and the area becomes a depopulated bufferzone that is easier to control. Expect them to imped the reconstruction of these settlements claiming Hezbollah is regrouping.

   Now Israel will probadly argue that the people in these settlements support Hezbollah and therefore they are terrorists so they are valid targets to killed and their homes leveled. This is the kind of logic that can only end in seeing all lebanese as enemies to be killed.
