  1. who is taking bets on how long Hezbollah takes to violate this ceasfire?

  2. If anything in this world is a sure bet, it’s that there won’t be a ‘permanent’ end to fighting in the Levant any time soon.

  3. Nothing is more temporary than a permanent agreement

  4. Is there any reason this can’t end in a permanent peace treaty between Israel and Lebanon? It always blows my mind how these states prefer a permanent state of war over all the benefits other countries have gained by peace.

I suppose Lebanon will say it’s off the table until the Palestinian issues are resolved. But I would argue they have more leverage to push for a solution if they have already established relations. Israel is far more hesitant to piss off Jordan than Syria.

  5. Permanent? So Lebanon and Israel have agreed to genocide all of hezbolla? Works for me!
