Wouldn’t it be even more effective to use an internationally recognisable name?
There is a similar proposal in Romania. The Russian embassy is located on Kiseleff Blvd, the proposal is to rename it to Glorie Ucrainei Blvd (Slava Ukraine blvd). Not sure that it will happen though.
