Burning anything isn’t green.
Where is your source on trees being burned for the plant?
In my basic reading, it looks like most of the fuel comes from waste sources. Wood Pellets made from waste of sawmills and agricultural waste such as sunflower/olive/peanut/rape husks after oil extraction.
The ash of burning the fuels is then sold to be used in manufacturing cinder blocks, cement, road fill.
Seems like a pretty sustainable plant for providing base load without burning coal or gas.
