  4. I cant imagine what it must be like to know you likely will never return from a land you never been, so you can take it for men who don’t know you even exist, or even remotely care.

  6. Looks like search results for “how to leave russia” or “how to dodge draft” are gonna be on the rise. Putin has been avoiding the idea of drafting people from moscow and petersburg for this exact reason and once people start to notice it’s the rich regions turn to be thrown into the meat waves they’re gonna be upset to say the least.

    By all means putin throw your future workers head first to the wall of bullets that’s one way to cause brain drain. Not to mention making the economic crisis and demographic crisis worse.

  9. During WWI, women would pin ribbons on any military aged men they encountered in the streets. It was meant to be a symbol of cowardice. I’m not sure if that was just a Canada thing.

  12. So they basically summon people who study music and instrument related things? Probably they think they can get away with it because they view these students as not as important as the ones studying science or engineering.

  20. What no student deferment? I was a CO during the Vietnam war. Those were damn hard to get. We eventually resended the draft, but it took a lot of activism and pressure. And we couldn’t have done it without the press showing all the body bags coming back from Vietnam to convince the American public we no longer needed to be going to ridiculous war just like Ukraine. Clearly, it is time for civil war in Russia.
