  1. If she doesn’t like this country she’s free to pack up and leave

  2. I mean, I’m not supporter of Trump or the oligarchy he’s putting in place. I’d even call him and his cronies fascists to their faces, but here’s a quote from the article that strikes me as ironic.

“So, Americans who don’t travel, who 80% don’t have a passport, who are uneducated, are in their extraordinary naïveté,”

Your finger’s really on the pulse Sharon, thanks so much for your input.

  3. Oh well, moving on from celebrities cause we need to resist while they are boohooing in their cash. Cheers!

  4. Travel isn’t the mind opening panacea many people think it is. My father is the most well traveled person I know and he is an angry, bitter maga diehard.

  5. Ignorant and arrogant are pretty common descriptions of Americans from non-americans, she ain’t wrong and she left out loud and drunk.

Next four years should be interesting, seeing how Trump voters tie themselves into knots, trying to justify voting against their own interests.

  6. People can barely afford to eat and she’s talking down to them for being too poor to travel. Then they wonder why they lost the election so badly. She’s fucking delusional lol

  7. I’m mean she’s mostly famous for flashing her beaver in a murder mystery.

  8. America truly sucks but I’m tired of Hollywood half-wits as well.

  9. Thanks sharon stone, I’m sure the fascists are gonna fuckin listen to you!

  10. Wtf does not traveling and not having a passport have to do with anything??

    Literally so confused

  11. My favorite quote from this article has got to be from Alec Baldwin:

**“Americans are very uninformed about reality — what’s really going on.** With climate change, Ukraine, Israel … you name it. All the biggest topics in the world, Americans have an appetite for a little bit of information.”

**“That vacuum is filled by the film industry.** Not just the independent film industry, not just the documentary film industry, which are very important around the world. But by narrative films, as well where the filmmakers and the buyers, the studios and the networks and the streamers are willing to go that way.”

“[…]Now is probably one of the most important times in our history for us to **make films that will teach people what reality is around the world.”**

I’m sure there’s some truth to what he’s saying but he’s literally his own caricature from Team America World Police. All we need is him to talk about the importance of the Film Actors Guild^TM .

  12. Ignorant and arrogant sure, but can we stop equating intelligence with being well traveled? Talk about privilege. Most Americans do not have the means to travel.

  13. Always the most obnoxious people saying stuff like this

  14. I’m always fascinated by the fact that actors getting out of their roles are crying in a void while those that stay in the role get the popular vote.

Trump, Musk, Hulk Hogan, characters, caricatures, that’s what works.

The film is reality, reality is the movie.

Don’t ask Robert Downey Jr. to pass a political message, ask Tony Stark.

America isn’t a country with a show business, show business IS America’s entire culture and religion.

People gaslight themselves into a storytelling because storytelling is the DNA of the US.

It’s founded on an original myth, and was built on everyone’s advertising themselves as a protagonist of that myth.

Advertisement is the survival strategy, the first amendment is a necessity.
Success is God’s will, fortune is his reward.
    Anything goes.

Sell snake oil if it sells, the buyers decide, because that’s how the absolute democracy of free trade that you built yourself works.

America is only getting even more what it has always been, it was all set from the beginning.

  15. Checks notes who tf is Sharon stone and why should I care what her Hollywood elitist ass thinks. Like bitch a box of captain crunch is $8 then they are out here talking shit from their Beverly hills mansions.

  16. I wouldn’t call it a rant. More like pragmatic factualism. The ignorant ball cap topped masses just can’t see it.

  17. “Why don’t you all just go travel to your second house overseas??”

  18. This is kind of an elitist mindset. People don’t travel for a variety of reasons, from lack of funds and time to suffering from a disabling, chronic condition. Travel is not a requirement for education. One can use one’s computer or library card to do research. I haven’t traveled much, yet somehow I knew not to vote for Trump-imagine that.

  19. Karen Stone shut the yap no one cares what you think stay in your bubble mansions and stfu you havnt been relevant in decades B keep that mouth full…

  20. The thing is she said this in Italy, and said America does not have Italy’s history of fascism to rely on in order to be vigilant against fascism. Italy, however, recently elected a far right fascist ruling party.

So, yes, Americans are generally ignorant and don’t understand the world, but that’s only part of the problem.

  21. We may be ignorant, but it’s our ignorance and heavy overspending on defense that allows our allies to spend MORE on the things that combat ignorance.

*For a few dollars a day, you could support a dumb dumb in america*

  22. It’s elitist as fuck as well as paternalistic, but to a degree they aren’t wrong. It’s not our fault as Americans mostly. We are limited by our media, our top-heavy economy, defunded education, etc. All things decided by politicians. The same politicians who are legally allowed to pick their voters, so once they gain power they tend to keep it. The average American is busy trying to survive and things like politics and economics take time to understand. That being said, maybe the uninformed should decide not to vote without research, but it’s a constitutional right so we can’t tell uninformed voters to piss off.
