EU considering SWIFT exclusion for Belarus banks

  1. It could be used as a bargaining chip. Don’t send your troops in Ukraine or face the consequences.

If Belarus doesn’t send their troops, Putin can’t use them as fodder as he initially intended, then he has to use fodder with his own, increasing the total casualties.

It’s a long shot but we might convince them to at least delay them enough. Who’s gonna help them once Russian economy has collapsed and they’re stuck in a quagmire South of their borders?

  2. I don’t think they should do it. There’s no doubt Belarus helped Russia but there’s a huge risk that Belorussian forces join the war and try to cut Ukraine from Western suplies from Poland. But it should be an option so Lukashenko thinks twice.
