In Estonia, just over 40,000 viewers followed the final of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 live from Madrid.

An average of 40,550 viewers watched the final of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 live on ETV2. The contest also had an audience share of 8.59%. Compared to the 2023 final, 12,595 fewer viewers watched the contest and the audience share fell 3.26 percentage points.

On ETV+, a delayed broadcast of the final took place from 20:35 to 22:35 which was followed by 12,275 viewers and recorded a share of 2.57%. Viewer interest on the Russian language channel increased by 2,938 viewers, with share increasing by 0.39 percentage points.

The main channel of ETV broadcast the final on repeat between 15:52 and 17:52 and was followed by 21,515 viewers, with a share of 6.6%.

Across the three broadcasts of the show, a total of 73,340 viewers followed the contest, which is an audience increase of 10,858 viewers compared to 2023. However, the number of viewers who watched the contest live in Estonia fell by just under 20,000 viewers.

The fall in the live audience however does not reflect the success that the figures represent for the Estonian broadcaster. Eurofestivales reports that the audience shares recorded on ETV2 and ETV+ both exceed the channels average audience. The final on ETV2 had a share 6.89 percentage points than the channel in October, while ETV+’s broadcast was 0.37 percentage points higher than average.

Annabelle represented Estonia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest with “Tänavad” (The streets). Estonia finished 14th in the final scoring 55 points, they received 14 points from the juries and 41 points from the online vote.

Estonia first participated in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2023, making them the last Baltic country to debut in the contest. They previously broadcast the contest in 2003 and 2004. Arhanna represented Estonia on their debut with “Hoiame kokku”, finishing 15th.
