Today Malta closes the submissions window for its selection for the 69th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest.

Today is the last day that Maltese artists can submit their songs to compete in the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2025. Among the rules of the selection are:

Artists must be Maltese citizens. In case of acts with more than one person, the lead singer must be a Maltese citizen.
The winner of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2024, Sarah Bonnici, may not participate in the 2025 contest as a main artist.
Songwriters and composers may be of any nationality.
Artists can participate with multiple songs.
Songs must not have been publicly released or performed before November 30 2024.

Songs can be submitted on the PBS website here.

Once the song submission window has closed, a jury will evaluate all of the submissions. A total of 24 songs will be chosen to compete across two semi-finals on February 4 and 6. In each semi-final, a combination of jury and public voting will choose eight songs to advance to the final.

The final will take place on February 8 and will feature 16 songs. A combination of jury and public voting will decide the Maltese entry for Basel. All three shows will feature a live audience.
