3 people, including the Belgian, died and a further 6 people were injured in Tuesday evening’s accident. A Belgian is also among those injured.

The accident happened at a biogas production facility on the Danish Island of Funen. Construction workers were working on the roof of a silo. At around 6pm the roof collapsed. The Danish police said that the search and rescue operation was hampered by difficulties accessing the site where the accident occurred.

It wasn’t until Thursday evening that the body of the Belgian that had died in the accident was recovered. 3 of the 10 people that were working on the roof when it collapsed (1 Belgian and 2 Romanians) died in the accident. 1 Belgian, 2 Romains and 3 Poles were injured. 1 worker suffered no physical injuries in the accident.

Danish police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
