  5. Some of those regime guys are just wearing street clothes. Either militia fighters, civilians in crossfire, or the regime is really fucked without its 2 allies.

  8. I’m confused as to who these rebels actually are, is it a resurgence of ISIS or something else? The problem before was that they were really lots of different groups who often hated each other more than they did the regime. They also seem well equipped and organised…

  15. The gamer in me wants to throw some smoke grenades about 50 – 200m past that hole, have a machine gunner mount up at the hole and start laying down fire into the property while the rest of the guys move up and start working on whatever is on the otherside. Is that stupid tactics?

  18. Holy fuck I’m getting Liveleak flashbacks from all of this intense Syrian footage. I bet the rebels were surprised of the momentum they managed to build up. In the news some said that they were surprised by their own success and that this is fueling their uprising. I’m really interested in following how this develops. Once again they are doing a great job documenting everything by the looks of it.

  19. I am very pro-Ukraine and anti-Russia in every country except for Syria. I think a Syria controlled by islamists will be terrible for everyone. All the minority groups that the regime protects will be ethnically cleansed and murdered without mercy if the Assad regime falls. The “secular” rebels who think they’re just using the islamists until they win the war and then they can remove them and have the secular western style liberal democracy of their dreams are completely delusional. This will never be the case.

    I don’t care who supports Assad, but if his regime falls then Syria will be far far worse off for it.
