Incredible photos! I had no idea it had been knocked down, I saw a YouTube video of some folk exploring this place not too long ago.
That grafitti about Deal Or No Deal is quite funny 🙂
I expected to see Blobby crouched in a dark corner with pleading eyes
I wonder if he touched someone emotionally or physically, need context.
It’s like an extremely depressing version of Hobbiton.
Always hated that spotty twat 🖕
Did anyone else find Mr blobby absolutely fucking terrifying as a kid?
I genuinely used to hide behind the sofa when he came on.
These pictures are where I’d expect him to live tbh
The photos are copyrighted from 2014? So is this from 10 years ago? Imagine how run down it must look now
This is peak Casual UK for me. Imagine anyone not from the UK seeing this and wondering “wtf is BlobbyLand?” Before entering an internet rabbit hole of Edmond’s and Saturday night telly in 1990s Britain.
I always wanted to visit and explore blobbyland
Now I want a British version of ANNIHILATION but the Shimmer has taken over Blobbyland.
It wasn’t completely abandoned from what I heard. Story is Blobby is the reason it lasted as long as it did before getting knocked down because he would lurk in the bushes just… Watching those who’d still visit thinking they were alone.
But they weren’t alone. He saw *everything*
I went when it was open, didn’t look vastly different tbh.
Is this the Cricket St Thomas one?
Is this in Morecambe? Or was there another one?
Probably built houses on it, which would be the UK equivalent of building on an old Indian burial ground…
They..they knocked it down?! 🥺
Surprised nobody nicked that fireplace/wood stove.
Silence of the Blobs
Amazing how Blobby made it all the way to Watery, Bright Falls!
I remember visiting this as a kid even then there was litter in the scenes inside. The tv favourite boat ride was better.
Was this before they abandoned it?
My Gran lived in Crewkerne and as such she’d get a years pass and we’d go there quite a lot as her house was where we ad most of our holidays and she could drive.
Have been a few times since it became just the hotel (I got a discount on food due to working for a related company and my sister liked the soup) and it is still nice to walk around if a bit dilapidated in the places far away from the hotel. Would normally have a go at the old pitch and putt too.
I used to go there a lot in its heyday 🥹
Around every corner you’re increasingly surprised not to run into Frodo Baggins trying to score crack.
I wish I wish I wish I could send my upvote directly to the individual who wrote that graffiti
Polite graffiti with a wicker basket. Next level
Fallout : Blobby
Reminded me of The land of Oz back home, that yellow brick road was kinda cool. They still do the occasional private tour. https://landofoznc.com/
Man as a 38yr old I have two thoughts on this. 1: as if there was a Mr Blobby land. 2: that stove looks worth nicking.
That good looking dome shelter with the relatively clean cooking hobs and wood burner looks… Interesting??
Omg I loved this place gutted it closed down 😭
I remember having a photo done at a caravan site we were staying on as kids with a really deflated mr blobby and when I got the photo the sleeve was more up and could see his arm . Dunno how much my parents paid but rip off and it was so random .
There’s you tube videos of abandoned theme parks and there’s some of this one and surely there were things which kids (and their adults ) would of enjoyed more like the fun house tv show from the 90s but as a hotel !
