On this background what is the possibility of Russian declaration of Unilateral Ceasefire after Khursk Offensive. As to cut losses and expenses – cost of war and put EU and US in a bind.

  1. Almost nil. It is not an overstatement to say that Putin and the Russian oligarchy have staked everything on this war.

From a “news from the front” situation in Russia, we can draw a lot of parallels between current Russia and end of WWI Germany. They think they’re winning, and their troops are marching towards glorious victory. To sign an unconditional ceasefire will shatter that illusion and open the way for political revolution.

Russia will stay in this war until the west abandons Ukraine and allows it to be overrun, or Russia is forced into a withdrawal due to massive attrition.

  2. The west haven’t even joined the war, just loaned a few bits. If Russia continues and the west does actually get involved then within a week you will be seeing Polish tanks in Moscow and RAF landing their planes in St. Petersburg while Russians scramble about waste heaps looking for potatoes and onions.

  3. Guys, I’m just curious about how much Ukraine has lost. any reliable sources?
