Refugees from Ukraine who are living in Luxembourg will benefit from temporary protection for another year until March 2026, the government announced on Friday.
The status which has been granted to Ukrainians fleeing the war was due to expire on 3 March 2026. Temporary protection status enables a person to work in Luxembourg but limits certain other rights, such as access to child benefits.
A similar extension to the scheme was granted last year.
