Used to love a pints on bonks’s mild when I first started working in construction. It was what most of the old boys drank so as apprentices we did the same
I doubt I’ll miss any of them.
So the article is: beers that no longer sell and are unprofitable are being discontinued. And the argument is that we should keep them because they are old brands?
I love a good Ale, but tastes change through the years. The new craze of craft/session IPA’s have kinda taken over the market. Not a massive fan of most of them but inevitably if they become popular something loses out.
I am not sure how traditional these beers are that are made by Carlsberg! Most of that list are under 50 years old but have old fashioned names only.
Add to the fact nobody seems to be buying them and it’s cheerio. If you want some old fashioned ale, support an actual local brewer who can probably whip up something as nostalgic and better
Well they bought Ringwood, turned their branding and beers in to shit then discontinued the beers.
Half of the issues is also that these pubs don’t keep their cask well, so if you do try them they inevitably are gone and sour.
Did they list the brands?
Sorry but I’m not opening daily star links
I miss Caffreys bitter. Can’t find it anywhere now.
