I actually thought this was quite funny (ok, the first minute anyway, not watching a three minute video about it), and holiday probably the kind of minor mistakes I’d make on holiday
They were also laughing at themselves, not being mean about Scotland and the lack of theme park – although there are plenty of natural beauty spots in Scotland with gift shops, it’s kind of our thing!

This is bloody funny.
I recently visited to Scotland and was simply blown away by the natural beauty. The people are brilliant.
But as a solo traveler grimly determined to see everything I could, these guys struck a chord.
I remember sitting in the Old Man, Niest Point and Quiraing parking lots thinking each time “Motherfucker I go where now? Up (or down, up and down in the case of Neist) *there*? Fuck my life”.
And I’d done my research so knew what to expect more or less.
Of course the walks were totally worth it. Places so achingly beautiful.
But I also totally get the funnies. You go, ladies.
They are having a good laugh so from that perspective I don’t see an issue, if they were deadly serious acting annoyed and moaning that it’s miles away then yeh fair but we’ve all done something or gone to do something at some point and had a right good laugh at how it hadn’t gone to plan.
they clearly have miss interpreted the meaning of “any fitness level can do” that’s open to interpretation after all.
It’s literally a 10 minute walk lol. Turning into WALL-E fr.
I swear in the time they spent filming the tiktok, they could have walked it. Hopefully they’ll allow more time to go back, I don’t think it’s meant to be too far a walk.
Some Scots see English people taking the piss and having a laugh and some Scots get angry. Yes Scotland is ridiculously beautiful, also yes people can go and take the piss. Be confident in your country’s beauty and let people (who are of the same nation as you) enjoy it in their own way and don’t put out your inferiority complex for the world to see
I’ve been and it does look like a pilgrimage lol. People bathing in it like some holy experience.
I genuinely despise the modern tourist who just wants to zip between tourist hotspots so that they can check them off a list and get a pic for their social media.
Clava Cairns is a prime exmaple. A few years ago it barely had any tourists apart from those who really wanted to appreciate it, it’s history and cultural significance to the people who still live here with it being a direct link to our ancient past. Now it’s mobbed with fucking Outlander fans who treat it with disrespect by stealing stones from the cairns and climbing all over them while ditching their cars on the single track road and not giving a fuck about the people who live here.
There’s definitely been a massive drop off in the respect shown by tourists in recent years.
It really doesn’t take that long to walk to the pools. If they don’t like walking I feel like Skye isn’t the place for them to visit
I walked it myself. It’s a piece of piss. I can’t believe you’d drive all that distance/travel from England and not bother to visit the pools.
Flying all the way to Scotland and having done no research is an incredible thing to show off about online.
They walk among us. I took my mum to Italy and she was shocked that all the things she wanted to see (Venice, Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Sistine Chapel in The Vatican, etc) weren’t within theme park distance and, in fact, that Italy was a country bigger than the UK 🤦♂️
I am happy with it being a bit of a walk. Keeps people like this away as you know they will be the loud obnoxious ones.

They were practically there yet baled due to a table booking. 🤦 Another dinner shouldn’t be more important than visiting the “fountain of youth”. Pretty sad but that’s their decision.
