Egypt has honestly always seemed like such a strange country to me. What sort of government exists there and what exactly is worth fighting for control there?
I’ve been to Mount Sinai before, and stayed in the monastary there… let’s just say the place is a fortress. They have sniper nests in the mountains all around the area, APC’s and armed soldiers just chilling. Obviously, can’t take any photos of the military in egypt.. but let’s just say its not an area I’d expect militants to last very long.

The Egyptian government is notorious for killing political dissidents or villagers in Sinai, then planting weapons next to their bodies and pretending they are terrorists, so I wouldn’t trust anything coming from them.
