    So what law is Homan talking about?

    Arizona vs USA says, essentially, that immigration is a federal matter and state law has to yield. However, Arizona got slapped down for trying to create their own immigration law. The Mayor is saying he will not tolerate the feds engaging in “illegal or immoral” actions. I don’t see a connection there.

    Presumably “illegal or immoral actions” means breaking down doors without warning or a warrant, setting up checkpoints that profile on appearance, or having out-of-uniform goons pull people off the street into unmarked vans. Doing any of those has nothing to do with immigration law, but it would violate Colorado state law. It’s also stuff the Trump administration did in it’s first term. The Mayor is absolutely right to call that out for attention.
