Blue Ridge 49, Lowpoint-Washburn 30. Isaac Price put the Knights (3-0) on his back, his 22 points leading the way to victory. Corbin Colbert added 11 points in the winning effort.

Calvary Christian Academy 55, Blue Ridge 39. The Knights (3-1) weren’t able to stay undefeated and get a second win on the day, but they did get a few solid individual performances. Isaac Price dropped 16 points, and Corbin Colbert and Landon Slade each put up eight.

Cerro Gordo Thanksgiving Tournament

Argenta-Oreana 52, Cerro Gordo/Bement 48. A furious fourth-quarter comeback effort by the Broncos (1-3) fell just short, as the Bombers (2-2) came away with a close win. Carter Logue (18 points), Tyson Oros (13) and M.J. Hall (nine) led the charge for A-O. CG/B’s Lucas Fuson led all scorers with 19 points, and Cooper Benson added nine.

LeRoy 57, Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg 52. The Panthers’ (3-1) only loss of the week came against eventual champion Warrensburg-Latham. Sam Edmundson earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team with games of 28, 11, 27 and 25 points.

Unity Christian 68, Heritage 36. The Hawks (2-2) were even with Unity Christian after the first quarter but couldn’t hang on from there. Rylan White and Brennan Struck combined for 17 points to lead Heritage.

Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley Tournament

Armstrong-Potomac 64, Prairie Central 62. A game that was tied at halftime had just as much excitement in the second half, and the Trojans (3-1) earned a tight third-place victory over the Hawks (2-2). James Huisinga led the way for A-P with 21 points, and Cole Bailey added 15. Leading scorers for Prairie Central were Easton Friedman with 16 points, Simon Zimmerman with 15 and Bryston Gadberry with 12.

Hoopeston Area 55, Fisher 47. After trailing by one at halftime, the Cornjerkers (2-2) had the advantage in the second half to snag the win and take fifth place. Trenton Montez nearly notched a double-double with 22 points and nine rebounds. Nick Cardenas put up 17 points, Cole Miller had 10 points and seven rebounds and Zach Huchel added six steals. Ryan Hopkins had a big day for the Bunnies (1-3), tallying 25 points, four rebounds and three steals. Cam Grant and Isaac Dabney each scored seven points in the loss.

Iroquois West 63, Tri-Point 49. The Raiders (1-3) ended the tournament on a win to walk away with seventh place. Garret Tammen led the way with 15 points, and Rylan Pheifer and Beau Howe each scored 10.

Lexington 71, Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley 67. Brayden Elliott and Graydon Leonard both scored 18 points, and Ryker Grauer added 14, but it wasn’t quite enough to lift the Falcons (3-1) to a championship, as they had to settle for second place.

Lincoln Tournament

Cahokia 65, Danville 63. The Vikings (0-4) went into the fourth quarter with a 12-point lead, but a strong ending by the Comanches changed the outcome, forcing Danville to settle for eighth place. Diddy Robinson had a big game with 24 points, 12 rebounds and three steals. C.L. Dye scored 15 points, Jaymion Avery had 11 and Jerry Reed III added nine.

Mt. Zion 67, Centennial 42. It wasn’t the smoothest of sailing for the Chargers (2-2), but they did get 15 points out of Kayden Peat and 10 rebounds out of Voldy Makabu.

St. Anthony Thanksgiving Tournament

Edwardsville 69, Champaign Central 63. The Maroons (3-1) fell behind by 18 points in the second quarter but fought back to within three with 30 seconds left. Ultimately, Chris Bush’s 22 points and Daniel Sago’s 12 points weren’t enough to complete the championship comeback. Bush and Cayden Love made the All-Tournament Team.

Mattoon 72, Rantoul 62. Despite a 27-point performance by D.J. Davis, the Eagles (1-3) couldn’t get over the top. Tysean Moody complemented Davis with 12 points of his own. Davis earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team.

Topper Classic

Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin 59, Covington 45. Keison Peoples had one of the best individual performances of the young season, dropping 35 points while making all 11 of his free-throw attempts. Chaz Dubois also stood out for the Blue Devils (3-0), scoring all nine of his points in the second half.

Paris 66, Milford 45. The Bearcats’ (0-4) second game of the day wasn’t any more kind to them, but Beau Wright put up a team-high 18 points, and Hixon Lafond added 11.

Schlarman 47, Milford 39. The Hilltoppers (1-2) came out with a win over the Bearcats (0-3) in a fairly low-scoring matchup. Jerrius Atkinson led Schlarman with 19 points, followed by Noah Fowler with 11 and Miles Crosby with nine. Caleb Clutteur’s 15 points paced Milford, with Tyler Runner’s 12 and Beau Wright’s 10 close behind.

Nontournament

Clifton Central 53, Watseka 48. The Warriors (0-1) started their season with a close nonconference home loss but got an impressive 23 points from Payton Schaumburg. Quinn Stankey scored nine points, and James Newell added eight.
