Do you still see a lot of this in your area after being banned?

  1. These have been stacking up in Canary Wharf for some time. They are normally left in the streets overnight and someone pops them there.
Have reported to the council numerous times which they’ve ignored.

  2. They’re still everywhere where I live. The manufacturers are taking the piss too.

  3. The only difference is they now dump those big canisters instead of thousands of tiny one.

  4. Every morning when I ride through Mark’s Gate car park in Victoria Park. Fucking shutters.

  5. I see the blue/green ones, the little ones become missiles when hit with a forklift

  6. Making drugs illegal doesn’t stop people using them? Who knew!

  7. I don’t understand why they haven’t put a £5 deposit on these yet. I can assure you there would be none left on the floor after this.

  8. I don’t have any evidence for this, but anecdotally, there seem to be parts of London that are treated by police as containment zones for illegal and antisocial activities. There are some parks where if you’re doing this you’ll get apprehended pretty quickly, and others where you can start sparking up in blind daylight and no one will stop you.

  9. :O are people *breaking the law*?

Exactly why many of us said this was a stupid law to bring in, does nothing to lower usage but pushes those users underground

  10. But the war on drugs has been so successful, this cannot be!

  11. You can ban whatever you want, but it’s worthless if you don’t enforce it.

  12. The big ones haven’t been banned, it was just the small ones. The big ones are used in catering and people just abuse the intended purpose.

  13. If these idiots would have just found a bin in the first place they wouldn’t have banned it.

  14. Yes. Because it’s not a drug/crime problem, it’s a littering problem.

Treat it as such, and in solving the litter problem, you solve the drug/crime aspect of it too.

  15. Yes!!! When will governments realise that banning drugs just makes the whole situation worse. It has literally happened with every illegal substance. Shocking really. The war on drugs is an absolute joke and a huge waste of money and resources.

  16. I’ve found a couple of the big canisters dumped by the road. Apparently you can’t take them to the recycle centre without them registering your name and address!

  17. Yep, around my work they are still everywhere when I go back on Monday. People are shit. It used to be that Fastgas brand all the time but I see a lot of others these days, dunno what changed there.
