  1. Forget the Russian reason for the protest with this question, I thought protests where you stay still, holding up traffic, we’re unconstitutional? Thought the rule was you had to keep moving, no matter how slow you done it?

  2. Waving flags and kneeling on the ground is beneficial to no one when family’s are been bombed and displaced by war crimes. . Place should be smashed up and the diplomats deported.

People seem to forget our health system was cyber attacked and held to ransom by Russians not to long ago. Let’s throw water over the Russian embassy car and kneel on the ground.

  3. Solidarity is not about showing action it’s about showing compassion. It’s to show those of Ukraine that there are people wishing them well. And by smashing up the place that will just draw attention to Ireland and be seen as a direct attack towards Russia. And our health system was easily hacked because it’s outdated just like the majority of things in Ireland. It was our own governments fault that it was hacked. More interested in putting money in their own pockets than they are of improving irelands army and weapons.

  4. That’s gotta be like at least 50 people

Edit: lmao must’ve accidentally done some butthurting. Can you guys not count? Why are you so mad?

  5. Fifty years ago, after the events of Bloody Sunday, a crowd gathered outside the British Embassy in Dublin.

In completely unrelated news, the British Embassy burned to the ground that evening.

Now *that* was a show of solidarity.

  6. I’ve no idea why kneeling spread from the original BLM protest in America, it made sense as a way to protest during an American football game. It makes no sense in general street protests.

  7. I find this whole situation bizarre. I’m a far left person myself but the amount of people in far left circles who support the Russian invasion has baffled me. being far left and being Irish it’s only natural that I absolutely oppose imperialism in all its forms but you’d be surprised how many so called ‘marxists’ support this invasion. there are some truly disgusting people out there and I’m so sick of it

  8. I know there are many laughing at this along the lines of “sure Putin doesn’t care”. The demonstration isn’t to sway the opinion of Putin, the demonstration instead is to show the popular support for our own government to take actions against Russia. The more that attend, the more likely it is that the government feel confident in supporting sanctions even though they will also harm the Irish economy.

Similar protests in Germany have led the government there to abandon their hesitancy around sanctions and instead support the complete financial isolation of Russia and the transport of weaponry to Ukraine.

  9. THIS “show” is for the people showing support only. its completely useless. If you aren’t sending troops or flying to (insert country here) to help fight you’re only doing this top make yourself feel better.

The girl that is giving a ukraine onlyfans discount for the month is doing more to support ukraine than these ppl are.

  10. Lithuanians: “sing the Ukrainian anthem in front of their russin embassy”

Irish: we are just gonna stand here bcs we know putin will never bother to take this “coutry” over

  11. Johnny come lately in the foreign affairs office… Friends of Israel and friends of the Saudi Prince , means the crimes in Yemen and crimes in Palestinian lands mean nothing ..your ambassadors can stay … Putin, he’s got no friends, get him out! I’m delighted but seriously we have to be consistent folks. https://i.imgur.com/n9rE8zo.jpg
