The people most concerned about grocery prices are not the same people who annually spend a lot at Xmas time.
It’s almost like we have a class system and the ones at one strata have different priorities than ones at other strata.
Voting for cheaper eggs was mind boggling stupid because nothing can or will be done about egg prices regardless of who is in WH. Inflation is inflation and it stays up until you have a recession. Dumbfucks believe Trump can pass some bill that makes food cost less.
….actually there is one way to make eggs cheaper at the register and that is to provide MASSIVE subsidies to the agricultural you want cheaper. That involves massive, unsustainable deficit spending which I guess Trump is not above doing but the middle term consequences of that move would be devastating.

I gotta be honest I’m buying a new computer because mine is dying and I’m afraid of the cost going up 50 percent when mine dies. That said, I didn’t vote for the asshole who is gonna turn us into a theocracy.
How much of this was just preemptive buying before things get even more expensive?
That’s what credit cards are for. Whine about price of eggs, drop 3K on Black Friday, then whine about how they can’t make ends meet because they either pay the CC bill or buy eggs.

Of course. When times a hard people want deals. I shopped more on Black Friday because I wanted the 20-30% off. Will the season as a whole be record-breaking? I doubt it.
This just illustrates the growing wealth gap. Also, the growing credit gap bc people bought everything on credit last week.
