> The day after the presidential election, the social media landscape shook.
> On Elon Musk’s X, more than 115,000 users deactivated their accounts, the largest-ever mass exit from the platform.
Thought only far left and p*dos used Bluesky
Wrong sub.
Those that left didn’t like that X is no longer their echo chamber.
I have enjoyed Bluesky so far, but am hoping that the topics discussed on it diversify as new users sign up. Old Twitter was such an amazing way to learn about breaking news in real-time, and I hope Bluesky eventually fills that void.
Options are good to have.
But blue sky sounds like an intentional echo chamber, honestly.
If I recall correctly, I heard a story that bluesky has no corporate investors yet, but will need them unless it’s 100% voluntarily crowd funded and soon. It gave me pause that the same thing will happen to bluesky that happens to all social media platforms.
So 1000 people turned to 6000 people great
Echo chamber/circle jerk galore
I don’t mind political discourse, what I do mind is the flagrant use of the N word F word, bigotry, and intolerance. That’s why I left X.
Another leftist echo chamber like Reddit. I wish these subs were not political…
Whats this got to do with economics? The echo chamber is real.
I only learned about it through a popular streamer.
He claimed to use all platforms, but his engagement is far better (and fewer bots) on Bluesky. I haven’t signed up, but the content is refreshing. I hope to see how/if it devolves into the cesspit all other social media sites degrade to.
