The headline is misleading. They are not being deported because they „only“ eat banana provocatively. They were mocking an old man, whos financial situation got severe due to increasing economical crisis. One of the biggest reason of this crisis is also the massive amount of Syrian refugees in Turkey, which exceeded the economical capacity of the country and create tension in social fabric. Now rather you can discuss if the decision was right or wrong, but I feel that one should be more thoughtful about the actions/reactions.
Wait to give this context the actual problems was that when local people complained about bananas being expensive these people shared pictures of Turkish flag but the moon was a banana if you don’t know it in turkey desresoect against the flag is a huge thing most people would get lyncged on social media if they did something like this and immigrants from a foreign country that because of their huge numbers troubling the economy (turkey has 50%of the entire earth’s refugees) and also raising the crime rates (someone posted the rate of crimes in Europe and turkey entered top 3)honestly if they said fuck turkey and everyone in it they wouldn’t have gotten a response this bad people that are staying in a country and troubling it causing nearly the highest level of disrespect is sort of a big thing and local people would react very badly if they let them do something this disrespectful and get away with it
