  1. Yeah…Charlie and the Chocolate Factory sure didn’t need a remake

  2. > “There are certain films I don’t want to make a sequel to,” Burton said. “I didn’t want to make a sequel to that because it felt like a one-off thing. I didn’t want to have a sequel for ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ because it also felt like a one-off thing. Certain things are best left on their own, and that, for me, is one of them.”

  3. Imagine a sequel. They would have to call it Edward Rusty Hands.

  4. What would they actually “attempt” in a sequel? I mean honestly the movie shuts itself down pretty well… what does Edward have a baby? Something like Johnny clipper toes or does he move to LA and open up a salon for the stars where he later learns that life was better being “unknown”? Seriously why do people keep trying to rehash stuff that’s long and buried? I understand that for stuff like network TV series it’s kinda important to keep stuff relatable to the average viewer but just outside reality for something to run the distance, but we’re even repeating TV shows over and over again until the poor horses hide is bare.

  5. Calling for Hollywood casting Timothy Chalamet for Edward Scissorhands 2 a week after Burton passing saying, “this is what he would of wanted…” 🫤

  6. But Beetlejuice did?

Not knocking Beetlejuice 2 or anything. I actually really enjoyed it and it felt more like classic Tim. But strange he draws the line at Scissorhands lol. I really do think Tim should just write something new.

  7. He actually filmed the sequel at the same time but an overly enthusiastic editor left the second film on the cutting room floor.
