  1. Good. Civilians should not be politically persecuted.

  2. I don’t care?

It’s not like he was a hardened criminal, like a rapist or a child sex trafficker.

  3. Don’t worry, Trump will invent the power of the un -pardon.

  4. I couldn’t possibly care less about him pardoning his son.

  5. Trump pardoned the bloke who stole the Build the Wall money.

    Gonna pardon the insurrectionists

Good for you, Joe. Pardon everybody you think they’ll come after. Pardon CNN just in case. Oohhh pardon everyone who could conceivably perform an abortion.

  6. Fuck promises and good for President Joe Biden 🫡

  7. All bets are off now. This is a completely different ballgame. Any parent that loves their child would do this.

  8. Marjorie will be up in arms all focused on Hunter’s hog.

  9. Absolutely had to.

The only reason Hunter was in legal jeopardy is because his father was president. So as president he needed to make it right.

  10. He didn’t pardon Hunter at the time of the conviction, so he kept his promise.

Even turkeys get pardoned in this season, why not sons?

  11. Good for Joe. It’s the least he could do after the bullshit they put Hunter through. Bloody trump was SELLING pardons to his cronies, and they were standing in line waving their money. I’m glad he came through for his son.

  12. He doesn’t need to ask permission to pardon, it’s the president’s right.  Good on him. Hunter has been mistreated in all this, to say the least.

Congress hasn’t had one meeting to discuss Dob Jr’s coke habit, and we hope it stays that way.

  13. Ordinarily I would consider this a corrupt act. However, the prosecution of Hunter Biden was a corrupt act, in that it started as persecution of Hunter Biden to hurt his father politically.

This is not the same as saying that Hunter Biden is not guilty of the crimes he was charged with. It is a sad acknowledgement that all are not equal under the law, and that the enforcement is sometimes haphazard and arbitrary, and that in this case Hunter Biden would not have flown above the radar but for this father being president.

Our democracy is coming apart at the seams. I think Biden pardoning Hunter is pretty much the least of our problems, and it’s this sort of “tut-tut”‘ing that leads to people like Trump being elected, because liberals and progressives have no sense of proportion and a complete inability to grasp the big picture when dealing with others acting in bad faith.

  14. Oh we care about breaking promises in this country that is going to be run by oligarchs?!

  15. Well the republicans have been fighting dirty and crooked for a long time. Going after Hunter was solely to hurt the sitting president, not protect the people. Hunter was a political sacrifice, taking the high road. Well why? What’s the point? Trump is talking about executing people. Unlikely he gets that far, but holy shit. It’s madness. Yeah, good on Biden for looking out for his son. I don’t give a shit about broken promises. Everything is broken at the level anyway. Family, friends, neighbors, community. That’s where it’s at. Joe is looking out for his.

  16. Well, hell, it’s not like the orange god of the MAGAts isn’t planning on pardoning all the assholes that stormed the Capitol, soooooo……no fucks given 🤷‍♀️

  17. I’m glad he did. I’m tired of Democrats having morals and letting Republicans do whatever the fuck they want with no repercussions.
