Hi, I will be visiting Tartu from 19-23 December and wanted to plan my days beforehand. I found a few places I would like to visit and have a few questions.

So my list includes:

  • AHHAA Science Center
  • University of Tartu Museum
  • the Old Observatory
  • University of Tartu Art Museum
  • University of Tartu Botanical Garden
  • the Leaning House of Tartu
  • KGB Cells Museum

My first question is about University of Tartu Museum. In the website, it says that the museum, observatory and the art museum combined is 15 eur. Is the museum natural history museum or is it a different one? Does the observatory operate in December? Also, does the combined ticket include the botanical garden or is it considered a separate place?

My second question is about Tartu City History Museums. They offer a combination ticket for all 5 museums for discounted price of 24 eur. The KGB Cells Museum is the most interesting one for me according to the pictures, but I do not want to miss a great opportunity of visiting the other 4 just because the pictures did not suit my interest. So if anyone has ever visited the Tartu City Museum, Song Festival Museum, Oskar Luts Home Museum, 19th century Tartu Citizen's Home Museum, what's your opinion? Is it worth to go there too? What are the vibes, or the focus there?

In addition, I also have the list of places to visit for free which includes:

Any recommendations what (preferably affordable) cafes to go to or how to improve the quality of my visit?

Thank you guys in advance.
