During the first half of the week, the influence of a large cyclone will intensify and clouds will cover the sky, bringing precipitation across the country. Both rain and wet snow are expected. In the middle of the week, a colder air mass will move in, leading to a drop in temperatures.

On Monday, skies will be mostly cloudy, and light rain is expected in some areas during the day. Some icy conditions may occur on roads. There will be a light to moderate south to south-westerly wind, gusting up to 15 meters per second, stronger off the coast. The air temperature during the day will be +2 C to +7 C.

Meanwhile, cloudy weather will continue and precipitation will intensify on Tuesday and Wednesday, with rain expected throughout the country, mainly snow and sleet on Wednesday. In southern parts of the country, snow cover will increase by two to four centimeters.

On Tuesday, the temperatures will be at +2 C to +8 C in the daylight hours, but on Wednesday the daytime temperature will rise to just +2 C and remain below zero in some parts of the east.

The second half of the week will be similar, with mostly cloudy skies and snow, sleet, and wet snow expected in places. Daytime temperatures will be in the range of +1 C to -4 C, a little warmer along the coast.

This means that parts of the country may experience a meteorological winter, which occurs when the average daily temperature is 0 degrees or below for five consecutive days.
