Sounds like the “german version”. Pre reunification west germany always considered east germany as part of it’ s territory, just under foreign control. West germany was still a NATO member
Don’t mind me asking, but if not for article 5, why join NATO in the first place?
Best solution, really. It would freeze the war and give the remaining of Ukraine the safety they need. I would add though some stipulation that Ukraine cannot attack those occupied territories in the future, as to not drag NATO into a war.
There is a huge catch, you would have to define positively what is article 5. This would create two tier Ukraine. If you went by Oblast, currently 6 which Russia fully or partially occupies would have to be excluded.
Russia would get a limit, but also a kind of licence to complete those six.
That’s too dangerous for humanity why can’t Ukraine understand as an India sit in negotiations tables and end this war don’t push world towards ww3
This isn’t 1940s anymore countries have nuke weapons which can end our race as a human
