Also, if you wanna buy a Christmas tree, do it just past the holiday season. I got mine from Sainsbury’s for a tenner and it’s a 2m tall one too, still use it.

I’d rather save on the single-use plastic and take 30 minutes to decorate the tree…

I’ve got a pop up tree I’ve had for about 6 years now. I put 3 pole parts in a base then just drop the spiral from the top and it’s done in 2 minutes. It’s pre-dressed with lights and decorations, and every year some baubles will come off, but that makes it a 3 min job max. Best thing is it fits into a box that’s about a foot x a foot x 6in so is dead easy to store for 11 and a half months of the year. Think it was around £15 from Argos or Tesco.

I don’t know…decorating the tree is part of the fun of it.
Unfortunately mine’s a Balsam Hill and comes apart in 3 bits. Good tip though, wish I knew this when I used to have a much smaller tree.
Maybe don’t keep a tree in storage, major fire hazard
Tempted to wrap the tree once it’s decorated to stop the cat climbing in the tree!
This seems to defeat the purpose. Part of the joy is decorating the tree!
Decorating is half the fun, do it as a family and the tree looks different every year. It’s the thing that gets me in the Christmas spirit.
My mother did this for years! Instead of clingfilm she used black bags, one for the top of the tree and the other for the legs/bottom. Saves you time yes but it meant we never decorated the tree from then on, can’t remember the last time I put a bauble on a tree 🙁
I have a tree that you just lift up in the middle and voila it’s done. All the decorations and lights are already on it, it’s cool and you can add more of your own decs if you want.
One of my favourite Xmas days is tree decorating day!!!
