Foreign criminals who avoided deportation committed more than 10,000 offences in a year

   So why did he not propose this when he was the _immigration_ minister and this was very much under his portfolio?

   >There are currently more than 10,000 foreign criminals held in UK prisons, accounting for some 12 per cent of the total, with Albanians topping the list, followed by Polish, Romanian, Irish and Jamaican.

   It appears that foreign nationals as a whole are actually _under_ represented given that based on the last census, 16% of all UK population are foreign nationals and would’ve gone up between then and today. If you only read the Telegraph you’d think it’s the other way around!

   >An MoJ spokesman said: “It costs tens of thousands to hold an offender in prison and since the new Government came into power, we have returned 14 per cent more foreign national offenders than in the same period last year.

   The feeling when Labour is doing what Tories want to do themselves but failed at it.

2. 6.7 million offences were committed in the same year. I guess “foreign criminals who avoided deportation committed 0.15% of crimes in a year” is a bit less of sexy headline huh?

4. Initially misread the headline and thought this was just one dude, and ngl, I was in awe of that grindset.

5. Create prison hulks, detain them, ship them to prison hulks until such a time that identity/country of origin/criminal history can be confirmed OR until such a time that they decide they wish to be deported.

   This soft touch shit doesn’t work at all, all the while our country and children are less safe.

   We have issues to address with how capable our justice system is dealing with the native populace let alone the additional crime being ushered in.

6. Tbh it’s our own people who commit most crimes it’s just easier to blame the foreigners because if we point the finger at our kids,parents family etc it shows how bad we are

7. How? That 30 a day, even if you steal 3 meals a day, steal a car to drive there and back to a robbery, even then you crimes short.

Should be immediate deportation and imo if youre from somewhere you can’t be sent back to then you should stay in prison until such time as you either leave of your own accord or you are deemed no longer to be a threat. That may mean a long time in jail for many people. Well…we need more prisons anyway. We have plenty of our own that victimise us without importing others.

   This shouldnt be used as some sort of anti immigrant riot types as a racial thing. Its a common sense thing.

11. I thought the headline said criminal instead of criminals, all I could think was “The average immigrant commits zero crimes. Crimes Georg, who commits 10,000 offenses a year, is an outlier and should not have been counted.”

13. Ah yes, let’s keep foreign criminals in our already overpopulated prison, or on the streets to cause more issues. Instead of the sensible solution of sending them back to the country the fled from. The genius of the UKs immigration knows no bounds.

14. The main argument coming from anti-deportation leftists, as to why we shouldn’t boot these migrants out of the country asap, seems to run thus:

    ‘We already have criminals in this country, so we should tolerate all the foreign criminals who operate here too’.

    I wish this country was more like Japan or South Korea. Even Germany is mass deporting these kinds of people but in soft-touch Britain you can get away with pretty much anything.
