If I was a Swiss I’d vote against joining the EU. And I am massively pro-EU as a non-Swiss.

Also a bit inaccurate. They do pay to the EU for the treaties, they do have to accept what’s coming from Brussels but they don’t have a voice at the table.
The thing is it would be a nightmare if they were in EU. They have direct democracy. Someone would bring an EU regulation to vote, they would say no. And it would be over. It could never work like that.
