  1. Don’t worry Gen Z about owning a home by before you retire, I’ve heard they are pushing for assisted dying bill instead.

  2. Why is my Zoopla estimated showing house prices I’m tracking down almost 5% over the past year then?

  3. Definitely not the case in Edinburgh. We’re looking at 20% decline from the top.

  4. I wonder if this is in any way related to net immigration being 906,000 in 2023 and 730,000 in 2024? Surely there is absolutely no correlation between growing our population by nearly a million each year, and the endless house prices rises?

  5. Boomer BTL landlords – ‘rents are going up Gen Z’

  6. UK inflation running higher then. House price inflation IS inflation.

  7. Conservative government – “mission accomplished”.

Dial immigration up to 11 out of ten and create the mother of all housing bubbles – great news if you’re a multiple property owning MP or giant property owning business riding the gravy train.

  8. Almost as if the actual people affording to buy houses in the UK are foreign investors who then just rent them out.

  9. Anyone who says “supply and demand” whilst also mentioning immigration as some sort of “gotcha” please be aware that we all think you are so very very stupid.

  10. This was always going to happen, the rich have a lot of money in bank accounts (from the £800 billion the government created though QE during Covid) but now that intrest rates have dropped a bit they can make more money investing it in property, so they will.

  11. There’s no way this is tied to immigration.

Surely the 10 million who have come here in the last 20 years are living in tents in a field somewhere, and not taking up housing.
