The international credit information service provider group “Creditinfo”, which also includes the Latvian company AS “Kredītinformāciajs Birojs”, has teamed up with the Estonian value chain sustainability platform “Esgrid” to created “ESG Hub” as a centralized sustainability data registry for the Baltic region.

“The dedicated platform is designed to simplify the collection, analysis and sharing of environmental, social and governance (ESG) data for companies, thus reducing the gap between the growing sustainability requirements and the practical challenges that companies face to meet them,” said a release from AS “Kredītinformāciajs Birojs”.

“Currently, ESG data is fragmented and lacks a single standard, which makes daily work difficult for companies and financial institutions. “ESG Hub” addresses this problem by providing a comprehensive and unified platform that includes both quantitative and qualitative ESG data. This will allow financiers and investors to make more transparent decisions about their cooperation partners, taking into account the environmental impact of these companies, as well as the implemented social and governance principles,” said the release.

Creditinfo will provide data collection, compiling information from public and private registers, while Esgrid will work closely with companies to obtain and verify any missing ESG data. Founded in Estonia in 2023, Esgrid’s investors include Lemonde Stand, Startup Wise Guys, EstBAN, as well as the first employees of Pipedrive and Wise.

Oksana Tolmatšova, co-founder and CEO of Esgrid, said: “Access to ESG data is essential for sustainable financing and procurement.”

Work on the development of the ESG Hub is currently ongoing, and the first phase will be implemented by the end of the first quarter of 2025, according to the companies involved.
