There’s also visually confirmed losses for Assad’s forces of 127 tanks and 83 BMPs in 5 days. If Russia wants to halt the offensive in Syria they’ll probably need to send at least that many tanks and BMPs to replace the losses.
Yesterday, the number of attacks conducted by the Russian army on the front lines slightly decreased, which can be considered a temporary situation caused by troop exhaustion. The activity of tactical aviation remains at a lower level over the last week.
– On the Kursk front, fierce attacks by the Russian army have not yielded results. Ukrainian media reported yesterday that a HIMARS system successfully hit the command post of the Russian army’s 83rd Airborne Brigade in the combat area.
– In recent days, the Russian army has attacked quite actively in the direction of Kharkiv, but without results.
– On the Kupiansk and Lyman front, the activity of Russian units has slightly decreased and the situation remains the same. Russian forces are passive in the Siversk direction.
– In the surroundings of Bakhmut, the intensity of Russian forces’ attacks significantly decreased yesterday. The city battles in Toretsk continue without major changes in troop positions.
– Very intense attacks by the Russian army continue in the direction of Pokrovsk. The main goal is still to bypass the city to the south, but Ukrainian defenses have held so far. The fastest attacks across the entire frontline occurred yesterday southwest of Donetsk, and attackers achieved minor advancements during the day.
– On the southern front, battles continue for the Dnipro islands, and elsewhere Russian units did not undertake major attacks. In this area, Ukrainian military personnel predict again that Russia is preparing its forces for an offensive towards Zaporizhzhia. In fact, they are referring to an offensive by the Russian army in southern Donbas to support operations in the Zaporizhzhia region, not a direct attack towards the city of Zaporizhzhia.
