  1. Any father would pardon their son for the victimless crimes Hunter was railroaded with because of politics. Trumps pardons were far more egregious than this one and were to protect himself from his convicted friends and associates from flipping on him.

  2. Hunter Biden would suffer the same fate as Epstein under Trump. Anyone not immediately realizing that needs to stfu about their thoughts on the matter.

  3. It’s also justified by the simple fact that yes, it is within a President’s power to pardon. This ‘unwritten rule’ never existed, quite the opposite, the written rule directly and specifically gives that power.

    If you argue that pardons should be issued by a wise council (atextual to the Constitution as it is), then this case is still one they would take up and the same result would occur.

    If you clutch your pearls over this, you don’t care about justice, you like the judicial system being used as a weapon, and that makes you a despot, not a believer in the law and justice.
