  13. It’s a show of force. All he did was drop flares, hes not acquiring a target that low. USed to do this in Iraq all the time, same with F18s.

  14. At this point we have Russia, The United States, Turkey, Iran and at least a dozen ISIS or Al Qaeda splinter groups all fighting each other while fighting the Syrian state… I cannot make sense of any of it other than Syria has become the Thunderdome for everyone with a grievance.

  26. We need to send some high-quality cameras and equipment to Syria. The deadline for getting more A-10 footage is nearly there. Can we do a fundraiser on the sub?

  28. I’m happy to see the Hogs back in air and doing the work. A side benefit is that the brritts were also an aid to the the SDF forces stationed across the river that have often had to deal with the Iranian militia fighters on the ground; the hard Kurdish way.

    The only decent and “good” group the U.S. should be supporting in Syria are the democratic fighters of the Kurdish SDF. These men and women fighters were the boots on the ground that with U.S. air support destroyed the massive ISIS presence in Syria, village by village, city by city. These men and women are bad ass fighters and have held Turkey off for a near decade after Trump stabbed them in back by summarily withdrawing U.S. forces after the Kurds took out ISIS and leaving the Kurds to the mercy of Trump’s fascist Turk buddy Erdogan.

    The Kurds of the SDF are also arguably the most democratic and inclusive nation in the Middle East. They are a grass roots democratic socialist collective and take in and support all people’s, faiths and nationalities in their young nation. They deserve our full support and aid.

  29. Kinda insane to think that this pilot could’ve logged onto Reddit shortly after this and see themselves flying from a civilian POV.
