  1. Good riddance.

I’d say that hopefully the next one won’t be quite as useless, but since this is the Tories, he was probably their best and brightest.

  2. Goodnight, sweet prince.

I, for one, am looking forwards to watching the tats tear themselves apart.

  3. Aw man, Andrew “Blanket Ban” Davies has gone? I will miss him…not at all. As useless as every other Tory but twice as vociferous. Hateful cockwomble.

  4. Going to be a struggle to fill his position. I mean who else has their head so far up their own arse to come up with the rubbish RTD would on the daily?
A loss to twitter, but not much else.

  5. Proper “You can’t fire me, I quit” energy from old Big Gob there.

  6. Someone send him a tea towel in Cymraeg, or an EU flag. I’m sure he’d appreciate both gifts

  7. “ The eyes have it “ 😳 or Should I say “ had it “

  8. I’m not unhappy about this but he was a known entity (a pillock). Who are the possible options to replace him?

  9. Sadly, Reform are going to overtake the Welsh Tories at the next Senedd election

  10. > Speaking to BBC Wales after he quit on Tuesday, Davies said he had offered “a full Welsh fry-up with black pudding”, while his opponents “were offering muesli with croissants on the side”.

    Oh do fuck off.

    Oh he is?

    Hurray!

  11. Man’s an absolute ghoul. Won’t miss having to listen to him. So many awful candidates to replace him now. I guess they need to figure out if they want a centrist (Evans? Isherwood?) or if they want to cut off the reform threat with an even more obnoxious headbanger (please god don’t give Natasha Ashgar a bigger platform).

  12. I was wrong, he’s ruled out joining reform, so 50/50 that happens- but from the man thats biggest contribution was brexit means breakfast, he’s at least brought back some fitting imagery

“I do not accept that we have done culture war politics,” Mr Davies told PA.

He added: “What we, under my leadership, have always done is seek to speak to the issues that people find challenging in their everyday lives and addressing them head on.

“We speak firmly about our beliefs as Welsh Conservatives. I was offering a full Welsh fry up with extra black pudding. My detractors wanted more muesli and croissant.

“Obviously, the muesli and croissant was in the minority, were constantly running to the press, leaking stories, and that doesn’t do any good for a united party.”

One can only wonder what prime example of incompetence can replace this one, at least all the other Welsh parties will be sad to see him go even if about half his own party can see how pathetic a leader he’s been.

Best of luck [u/AndrewRTDavies](https://www.reddit.com/user/AndrewRTDavies/) maybe now you can spend some time meeting constituents, though they may be best to see how they feel about it first, Son-tar-ha!

  13. He’s got even less chance of JRM knowing who he is now. Boo hoo!

  14. As a Labour (former) member, We lost our biggest asset in the senedd.
