It’s interesting to read the specific cases of the customers involved. While some may argue that people are responsible for their own money and they should be more careful, gambling addiction is very much real.
I think it’s worth remembering that these companies spend millions designing their games and adverts to be as enticing and addicting as possible, so the responsibility firmly rest on them to stop the harm they are very capable of causing. It’s just a shame the fine is likely a very small percentage of their monthly profits.
