  1. No surprise; questions are (1) how much? (2) for how long? (3) where do they sell employees personal information?

  2. If you work at apple are you required to have their merch? Or could I have a Android, A Lenovo Carbon with Windows, and my dad’s Tag watch?

  3. The Apple employee is telling us what we already assumed, that our Apple devices are spying on us.

  4. I’m absolutely sure this is listed in their employment contract. My last one was 48 pages and spelled out everything I could and couldn’t do.

It’s messed up, but these giant companies have their “legal minds” behind this dumb shit.

  5. More on this subject from other reputable sources:

  6. I highly recommend installing DuckDuckGo app tracking protection. THE AMOUNT OF TRAFFIC IS INSANE!!! Apps are constantly sending more data about your phone etc than browsers do!!

  7. This seems like a nothing burger. Anyone that works for a large corporation understands that the work phones we are issued are managed by our employers. My employer lets us bring our own device but then it becomes a managed device, so I just have a work iPhone and a personal android phone.

It is neither difficult nor impractical (as the article states) to carry two phones, I’ve been doing it for nearly a decade. Despite my propensity for forgetfulness I’ve never lost or forgotten either phone. Plus, when I’m traveling, having a second phone as a backup in case of misadventure is a nice bonus.

  8. YEs they do. I was fired for talking shit about my raise in a private space in 2009. They are very strong on strikebreaking and controlling even the smallest media outlets. STill trust them more than google, meta, amazon etc even having suffered directly by them. They are simply a anti worker, like most, but are really good at pretending they aren’t. Clearly they are better at it than Musk.

  9. Hmmm, imagine that! A demonstrably amoral company doing amoral things. I’m stunned.

  10. Yeah no shit, I say the word socks and suddenly 50 ads for socks

  11. And there goes Apple next guy to become CEO is a maga fanboy tryna get power and come up in the world yada yada yada all apple user’s private information gets sold off and we get 🤬

  12. I have an Android and I am sure it spying. When the phone is sleeping and I touch the on button and cover the camera, I get a message not to cover the top of the phone. My past droid displayed similar when cover the microphone. My wife’s displays nothing but I think it has the thing occurring. So this doesn’t surprise me at all with apple. All these phones are spying along with the many apps.
