Yes the roads are busy but if ppl could actually drive here it wouldn’t be a problem . The problem is you allow ppl to drive with no licences well not checked and poorly kept vehicles.

My dad said he encountered the truck that toppled a few days before this accident on the marsa junction going at 100km/h+
No vehicle in Malta should be going that fast, much less an old truck.
Awful comments here. I ride a motorcycle and have done in 3 different countries.
It’s only an issue here due to ignorant drivers, road rage and spiteful people. Coupled with zero enforcement and a “me first, fuck everybody else” mentality makes for a crisis.
Saying “it’s not safe to ride” doesn’t justify the actions of an entire island of meat heads driving like Neanderthals.
Another man is dead through no fault of his own, and it’s likely due to negligence by a Maltese worker. This is an epidemic.
No police enforcement, corrupt governments, people allowed to drive without licenses. Malta is a mess
I see too many people driving while using their smartphones..
