  1. World war three hasn’t begun. This is pure hyperbole

  2. Article:

A third World War has started as Russia has involved its autocratic allies in the war against Ukraine, stated Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Ukraine’s ambassador to Great Britain and former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda.

“I believe that in 2024, we can absolutely assume that World War III has begun,” he said.

Ukraine is being attacked by missiles of North Korean origin and Iranian drones, while Russian weapons contain Chinese components, the former four-star general said.

“The reason is that in 2024, Ukraine is no longer facing Russia. Ukraine is facing soldiers from North Korea. Let’s be honest. Iranian-made Shaheds [loitering munitions] are killing civilians in Ukraine quite openly,” Zaluzhnyi said.

Thus, he said, the global community must prepare for the third world war that is unraveling. However, there is still time to stop it within Ukraine’s borders. Unfortunately, he noted, international partners have yet to fully grasp this reality.

“What we’ve expected for so long has started. But I want to say that God himself is giving a chance, not only to Ukraine but to the whole world, to have time to draw the correct conclusions now,” Zaluzhnyi added.

Russia is currently using a strategy of prolonged siege, which is aimed at “the attrition of Ukraine’s economic and moral conditions.”

Zaluzhnyi noted that Ukraine’s survival depends on technology, but it is uncertain whether the country can win the war alone. Major breakthroughs on the frontlines are not possible yet due to a technical and evolutionary process that is expected to conclude by 2027, he explained.

“When robots [drones] began to appear on the battlefield en masse, they made it impossible for soldiers to move. The inability to fight the robots led to a stupor. […] This situation is still the same,” Zaluzhnyi said.

Meanwhile, Zaluzhnyi believes European countries are unprepared for a long war with Russia. From Ukraine’s experience, the number of enemy air targets is increasing, while the means to combat them are limited and prohibitively expensive.

“Even by this number, I believe neither the UK nor European countries will be ready,” he said.

Despite the availability of F-16 aircraft in many European countries – aircraft with “excellent air defense capabilities,” – Zaluzhnyi noted that air defense systems could be depleted within two to three months.

“It is difficult to say whether they are engaged in alternative measures to learn how to deal with air targets. Most likely they’re not,” the general explained.

Regarding short-term military actions, Zaluzhnyi believes that European countries are prepared.

“But the real question is whether they are ready for a war of attrition,” he concluded.

  3. Im sure from the perspective of Ukrainians, it must feel that way.

But the hard truth is, much of the world isn’t particularly invested in the war in Ukraine. Its just another war to them.

So no, its not ww3 just yet.

  4. This just in: terminally online Reddit gamers in the US declare that it’s not akchshually a World War since they aren’t yet affected.

  5. Only someone really naive would think WWIII hasn’t already started.

Ruzzian tactics go way beyond just invading Ukraine, a sovereign nation. They’re flooding the internet with propaganda aimed at attacking the EU and NATO, trying to create division and weaken alliances.

From fake news to stirring up drama over things like energy policies or migration, it’s all part of their strategy to mess with democracies and make people lose trust in their governments. This isn’t just about soldiers or tanks anymore—it’s about influence and control in the digital world too.

We’ve got to recognize what’s happening and push back before it causes even more damage.

  6. Given Russia just helped cheat and use online misinformation warfare to tank American democracy, I’d agree. Shit is escalating globally.

We are due for one. I see it as an inevitably of our species. At a certain point we just gotta fight a real bloody war.

  7. If we make it far enough into the future I think historians will say WW3 started already by this point. The US came out of both world wars pretty well off, and didn’t enter them until it was convenient for them, so I don’t believe Americans will notice it’s happening until it’s right at their doorstep.

  8. Feels like the game’s already started just not with tanks. It’s a digital battlefield now.

  9. A few years ago I would have been seriously skeptical of this claim, but now I’m not so sure. We need to judge this statement on the facts of the matter, and the facts are that Russia is using North Korean soldiers, Iranian drones, and weapons from throughout Asia in a violent conquest against Ukraine. NATO countries, especially the US, have been supplying Ukraine with weapons and soldiers. At the same time, Israel is carrying out an absurd colonization of Palestine, where oppositions forces use global resources to agitate the refugees. All of this, while the U.S. loses the disinformation war against Russia and China, leading to the election of an obvious foreign asset who’s dead set of burning all U.S. relationships for the gain of himself and the US’s enemies. I’m not so sure World War III is an exaggeration anymore.

  10. “Literally Hitler”
    “Fascists”
    “Genocide”
    “Terrorists”
    “World War III”

I know, no outrage – no click, but I wish people’d get their collective shit together. The “Western World” cheering for Salafists now…

  11. I read a quote the other day

“WWIII won’t start with nukes, it will end with nukes.”

We also need to change our mindset of a world war taking place in grandiose battlefields. It’s all about cyber warfare, drones, and long range missles. The nature of war has changed and is why many consider the actual concept of a world war to be different. I truly believe it will be considered a global conflict once USA and China start fighting, and countries globally start taking sides.

But for now it’s just the Northern Hemisphere Battleground.

    Pretty grim either way.

  12. There’s is nobody besides Ukraine that prefers world war III over Ukraine.

  13. How can you have a world war in the age of hypersonic ballistic nuclear missiles? Going to be a lot of sabotage and trade wars, but no direct conflict.

  14. I can see his point. Wagner is in Africa fighting the French and overthrowing governments; Ukraine and Russia have now involved North Korea and Cuban recruits; Venezuela is threatening to invade Guyana while Brazil and Argentina are feuding over Venezuela’s election… yeah, the seeds are definitely being planted.

Guyana is a commonwealth member; Brazil and Venezuela are Russian allies and French Guiana is right there on the border of Guyana and is a French department.

If I had to guess a South American war, it’d be Venezuela, Cuba, Brazil and Columbia (they’re claiming Ecuador’s crime policies are hurting them and their economy, lol) versus Argentina, Chile, Guyana, the UK and co, France and Ecuador. That alone, constitutes a global fight and it mirrors much of what’s going on in Africa right now.

And as for Asia, well, Xi is ramping up hostility while consolidating power and control in China. I wouldn’t be totally surprised if there was an attempt made on Taiwan and further issues with the Philippines.

  15. Guys I know most of Reddit is terminally online. But WW3 has not started. Ukraine is not that important in the grand scheme of things. Whether Russia takes it or not

  16. Ukrainian leader states, on site called “ukrainianworldcongress.org”, that Russia-Ukraine war is actually world war.

Not downplaying the seriousness of this conflict, but 10k NK soldiers helping out on the battlefield does not turn this into a world war. Everyone is doing their hardest to stay out of it to not turn it into one, and until NATO enters (god forbid it ever does) it won’t be one. Or until we dilute the (admittedly fuzzy) definition of what constitutes a world war until it becomes meaningless.

  17. Saying that the largest military industrial complex the world has ever known is not prepared for war, is beyond naïve.

  18. No offense to whoever wrote this title but to say the largest military industrial complex in the world is not ready for ww3 is laughable. We were ready 10 yrs ago and it shows in the tech we have vs Russia. It shows by the troop preparedness we have in the wings at all times. We have war ships sitting just waiting with an insane amount of supplies to run a war in different countries simultaneously. But sure we aren’t prepared 😂 maybe some aren’t mentally prepared for it but physically we’ve been ready for decades.

  19. Former. This guy has been reading reddit too much. Sure there exist a bunch of conflicts all over the world and we’re more aware of them, but to equate it to a unified “world war” is hyperbole to the nth degree.

  20. Anyone still saying aid for Ukraine is enough and ignoring the No Fly Zone option is fucking delusional on what’s happening in Ukraine.

  21. I would say that it hasn’t started yet but this may be something that leads toward ww3 happening. Right now it’s a fairly isolated thing, but if say China invades Taiwan, and North Korea starts fighting South Korea, I think that would push western countries to have a more direct/boots on the ground response, and that would be the start of ww3.

  22. I’ve been hearing that ww3 has started for decades now.

That said, wars are stupid. How can you look at the past 100 years and conclude that, “Ah yes you see, I’ll win this war because I’m special.”

Even in cases where war was successful, it was nothing but a setback for humanity as a whole.

Imagine you can retire and take care of your country and think, “You know what my country needs? A good old war to liven this up.”

Then people die. That’s it. that’s all that happens. You spend a bunch of money to figure out how to better kill people. That’s it.

We’re progressing technology at incredible speeds. Every day we’re breaking through discoveries. We have trade, games and enough food to make the world fat and lazy and what do we do?

    Go to fucking war.

Dumb part it’s the west doesn’t even want war. Putin and Xi are being paranoid as if the west has been getting ready to invade for decades and are the ones trying to invade and conquer.

Fuck, and now at have Trump threatening to annex Canada. Like a fucking moron. We’re already allies and trade partners. There’s really no higher level of improvement.

God I fucking hate how stupid this is.

  23. If russia wins the war the west won’t be fighting Russia in a decade, they will be fighting Russia and Ukraine combined. After a decade of murder, abuse and propaganda the next generation of Ukrainians will see themselves as Russian and the west will have no one to blame but themselves. Ukraine must prevail, now.

  24. Well, in the first one we attributed the war to the assassination of an archDuke, and for the second one was just the continuation.

What triggered this one, besides the invasion of the Ukraine? Will there be something that we will know after the fact on why Russia invaded at that time, not before or after? Or at all?

  25. They won’t be able to make us fight for them this time

  26. Just put this handful of men in a fucking cage together and let them duke it out. Leave the rest of us out of it.

  27. The U.S. Air Force and Navy is absolutely ready for it. They can fight on multiple fronts against near peer adversaries. We’ve found out recently that one of the two possible isn’t even close to near peer in air or sea power. These 2 branches of military on their own would be the most advanced fighting force in history- combined they simply have no peer
