  1. While i feel bad for the victims, and am frustrated the police have done little but count the number of thefts. It requires a certain amount of silly to place your only ID, bank card, money and phone into a singular item (A fad that is more dangerous than convenient), and store that item in a small pocket outside of sight and feeling.

PLEASE keep your possessions attached to yourself or in places that are hard to reach by others.

  2. Crime hotspot continues to be a crime hotspot.

And unfortunately because everyone is using Apple/Google Pay and the like, it’s really easy for someone without morals to watch where someone is putting their phone. And women will be an larger proportion due to not having close to body pockets in the majority of their clothes (not that me aren’t also targeted, just that they’d be harder).

Technically credit cards hold a lot less “value” than a phone and would be easier to shut off/report stolen although it’d draw attention to where you put your wallet, also, once your phone is stolen, how do you contact anybody to get things locked down. (and tbh most banking details are on the apps on the phone locked behind your face as opposed to a password).

Running around with separate cameras and flashing expensive equipment though, the evolution of vloggers has lead a lot of people to be a little overconfident in unsafe surroundings.

  3. “already”? Was some sort of grace period meant to have been agreed or something?

  4. Security has always been bad here. I remember coming off one ride and a girl noticed her bag was missing, mentioned it to the security guy standing right next to her and he couldn’t have cared less

  5. You pays your money and you takes your chances.

The fact is that anyone there already had their pockets picked when they bought an entry ticket.

  6. It’s like we have an army of criminals in the city who know they’re not going to be stopped…

  7. Not exactly a revelation and unlikely any who are caught will be deterred by a sentence, unfortunately. I feel safer in the so-called “endz” than in zone 1. It’s the only place I’ve ever been robbed – pickpocket lifted my Motorola Red phone from my backpack at the tube station. Still a bit sad about it, I saved up for it from my little weekend job during school 🙁

  8. With what you have to pay inside I would also need to find a way to subsidise it.

  9. Prob need to get a couple phones to break even after a visit
