  1. Bet they spent half the time doing this:

    Put can in
    Can comes back out
    Put can in again
    Can comes back out again
Put can in a third time
Can comes back out a third time
Check back of can for 2 mins to look for symbol (possibly what you should have done before bringing it in the first place)
Try it one last time (why the fuck not?)
    Can comes out again
Put can on top of recycle machine
    Pick another can.
    Repeat as above.

  2. Worst photo of something that’s not moving in a long time.

  3. “World”…?! You’ve never been in a Berlin supermarket late on a Sunday evening in the middle of a crowded train station….!! 🙂 🙂

  4. My friends in college threw parties at their house like twice a week and always put cans in garage to save. By end of the semester they filled it to top of only garbage bags full of cans haha so many truck loads to the recycler but was able to buy a couple kegs so throw one final party.

  5. The place I work in, a fella parked up in people carrier type car, you couldn’t even see through the windows in the back. Nothing but black bags full of cans. He was there for almost 2 hours. Between all his receipts he had just over €800.

So I naturally asked him how he got so many, and like a cute hoor who didnt want to actually say, he says that his brothers and sisters couldn’t be bothered so he got them off them.

Having to go out to change the bins on those machines is a dose though. But the amount of people who just try a can or bottle once, the machine doesn’t take it, so they just throw it in the bin is crazy. If it’s wet, dry it. If it’s slightly dented, just straighten it up a bit. Sometimes it’s just as simple as rotating the bottle so the barcode is facing towards the laser reader.

  6. saw a bunch of bottles and cans in the green bin at the airport, all had the Return Logo on them, it was like a goldmine

  7. Pain in the hole getting stuck behind someone like this at the return machine.

  8. I don’t understand why people hoard this many bottles and cans before returning.. surely the smell is horrendous.

  9. This is a bullshit scheme – I’m selling my car and live in an apartment where we have recycling collected – I now will be paying more for drinks as I refuse to drink the toxic water in our taps. I’m just going to start putting them in the main refuse from now on. I don’t see why I should b charged more for recycling that I already did

  10. Bad tremors in the hands due to he huge intake of alcohol going by the skip bag

  11. Unfortunately there will be no record….. Each single transaction is capped at €29.30 (such an odd cap) so you will just have many receipts for €29.30

  12. I’m actually really surprised to have yet to see a homeless person with a bin bag asking for bottles and cans outside a train station, it was the first thing I expected when the scheme started

  13. Been the first Christmas with returns ,Im guessing the first week in January will be of the charts with cans

  14. Yes please everyone do THIS so when you bring them in you also mess up the place so much it needs to be mopped and the machine cleaned… Because we don’t have any better thing to do while running around the store to clean up after you guys… Not to mention the smell and the pests you bring into the store this was
